Elena Díaz-Valdés nació en Madrid el 26 de julio de 1985 como la tercera de cinco hijos.
Desde pequeña, fue aficionada a las historias, películas y videojuegos de fantasía y ciencia ficción, a la historia antigua y la música celta, clásica y tradicional del mundo, entre otras.
Siempre le gustó dibujar y escribir cuentos que llevaba incluso al colegio para continuarlos entre clase y clase y compartirlos con los compañeros que estuviesen interesados.
Aunque la etapa escolar no fue la más feliz de su vida, descubrió un gusto especial por los ejercicios de redacción de la asignatura de Lengua y Literatura, en los que desbordaba toda su imaginación.
A los once años, y después de conocer a un escritor que fue invitado al colegio para presentar su libro y que la animó a escribir seriamente, Elena empezó a redactar su primera historia completa, la cual, a día de hoy, continúa en desarrollo pues ha sufrido muchas correcciones.
A raíz de aquello y de ir perfeccionando con los años, otras historias inundaron su mente y fueron pasadas a papel y, más tarde, a ordenador, por lo que la lista de proyectos por publicar es larga y compleja, pero uno de ellos, Symphanell, por fin vio la luz en 2022 tras un arduo trabajo de doce años.
Al proyecto, además, se unió el hermano de Elena, Daniel de la Cruz, como compositor y productor de las bandas sonoras originales de la saga en la que Elena participa en algunas composiciones, prestando su voz y añadiendo letras.
En 2023, Symphanell cuenta ya con cinco títulos y continua creciendo. Además, y como resultado de todo su trabajo, Elena publicó también Cómo Autopublicar: La Guía Honesta, para allanar el camino a todos los autores que quieren ser independientes.
Elena Díaz-Valdés was born on July 26 1985 in Madrid as the third of five children.
Since she was a child, she was a fond of fantasy and science fiction stories, movies and videogames, ancient history and Celtic, classical and traditional music from around the world, among other kind of music styles.
She always liked to draw and write stories that she even took to school to continue working on between classes and she shared them with the classmates who were interested.
Although the school times weren't the happiest of her life, she discovered a special taste for the writing exercises of the subject of Language and Literature, in which all her imagination overflowed.
At the age of eleven, and after meeting a writer who was invited to the school to present his book and who encouraged her to write seriously, Elena began to write her first complete story, which, to this day, continues in development because it has undergone many corrections.
As a result of that, and after perfecting it over the years, other stories flooded her mind and were transferred to paper and, later, to computer, so the list of projects to be published is long and complex, but one of them, Symphanell, finally saw the light in 2022 after twelve years of hard work.
The project was also joined by Elena's brother, Daniel de la Cruz, as composer and producer of the original soundtracks of the saga in which Elena participates in some compositions, lending her voice and adding lyrics.
In 2023, Symphanell already has five titles and continues to grow. In addition, and as a result of all her work, Elena also published How to Self-Publish: The Honest Guide, to pave the way for all authors who want to be independent.
